East End
The windward end of the island. Takes the trade-wind swell year-round; the reef and walls are diveable when the trades ease, and the south-east corner offers some lee.
Exposed to wind from the north-north-east through the south-south-east (30° to 150°) and to swell from the north-north-east through the south-south-east (20° to 160°). Sheltered from the N, S, SW, W, NW. Easterly trade swell is the normal state, so thresholds here are a little more tolerant; operators pick the sheltered corner by wind direction.
Open-Meteo at 19.30, -81.05 (snapped to the nearest ocean cell). Wind in knots, heights in metres, Cayman time.
